❤So Lovely!
Well i love #81 as the new addition.
What kind of railroad crossing is that?! It’s ridiculous.
thank you so much for these songs. i’ve never been able to find them anywhere else
I'm glad you enjoy them.
She was amazing!!!
Грандиозный паровоз😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my god, the tiny little Walschaerts valve gears on top of the crankshaft
Literally thought the train was on the streets lol
hey ralph what crossing was that where you got amtrak in jax
I believe it was McQuade st.
when was this?
This was in the Spring of 2016
Love the shadow on the building before the train is in view.
Is that whistle the same as SP449? It sounds very similar.
i don’t think this was the route they originally planned; nice catch
Great video of US Sugar #148, Ralph.
Thanks Andy. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Great stack talk is right!!! Amazing video! Go 611 🚂
What a completely brilliant track
I was in the car before the last one : Dover Harbor with my good friends Tonya and Brian and 12 others !!!! 8 years ago .
Awesome
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
@@steamfan Thanks a lot
Toby's 3 chime steam whistle if you increase the pitch by one
Wow, great shot, those turbos were making a fuss out of that tunnel! Nice P5, sounds like it is sickly... wish the SD70 standard series were still on the NS, tough things, those were. Great video!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
They really should put that whistle on 722 when it’s done.
Route 66
princeton 3 chime
I was in this photo line with you that fine day . I do not scare easily , but this was one of the most frightful run by's ever for me. I really thought she was going into the weeds here. As a matter of fact , these trips were in the top 5 chases for me, ever and I have chased since 1973 . Great vid , thanks for the memories. BTW , I STILL keep this spot weed and brush free ; just in case....
About what time does the train cross?
This was years ago. I'm not familiar with the current NS schedule.
I was so curious about the new whistle that toby have and so i searched it and it's actually cool
This is why steam is so cherished and beloved, when you say train; THIS comes to mind.
That Mournful, lonesome sound of a steam whistle, especially in the hands of an engineer good at quilling it like that, is the real sound of railroading
What a SMOKER !! Luv Alco...
They need to put the rs3l back on
In Celebration: Carmen, Jimmy & now Fingers.
I have had this tent for 2 seasons now and it is awesome. Space all around. I even take my parrot with me on camping trips. She loves it.
Thankyou ❤
You're welcome 😊

Great video! Wasn't 4501 in the movie "October Sky", piloted by O. Winston Link?
Yes it was. She also appeared in several other movies.
Hell yea, legacy train there.
HirO!
Is that a Ps-4 whistle?
Yes. That's what I have been told.
Is it just me but I see that engine leaking again from the front Steam pipe. For the first year it leaked out both cylinders because they didn't do the piston rings on the front set since you're up there all the time maybe you could tell us if there's some other leaky problem they told us that's why it was down for a few months to re do the front cylinders
I asked the CMO about the leak. I should have wrote down what he explained to me! They were planning on taking another crack at it the next morning.
That bells sounds kinda sad. May need some work.
Sounds Ok to me. It doesn't ring as loud as some of the "auto" bells.
@steamfan My thought was that it kinda has a "muffled" sound to it. It's less of a "Ding!" and more of a "ding." if that makes any sense.
@@weylinwest9505it’s the clapper that sounds sad
Love JB’s version.
What caused the derailment?
I think it picked a switch.
Nice catch
Thank you very much!
This scene reminds me of Saluda Grade in Saluda, SC. Like if NS Sold the line to a tourist railroad like IMO they should've done instead of mothballing it.
The cost to repair the Saluda Grade did not make it a viable option for a tourist operation. I have walked the grade several times. Besides the numerous large washouts, the rail and ties would need replaced. I'm certain the rail and tie replacement factored heavily in the decision to railbank the route. The possibility of it becoming a rail trail is really the only hope of preserving it for future generations.
I will be getting it running on December 18th
Great catch and nice video
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Sure is great to see her back. But it looks like that steam leak in her cylinder is still leaking.
There is steam leak. The chief mechanical officer told me they were going to see if they could fix it Friday morning.
@@steamfan let's hope so as I feel like it's gotten worse.
What a beautiful sight to behold last Baldwin rides again historically noted that she was the last steam locomotive built by the Baldwin locomotive Works in the early 1950s
Glad it’s still wearing that Southern PS-4 3 Chime. That’s my favorite whistle on her.
The Southern whistle may not be on her for long. The chief mechanical officer told me he hadn't had time to change it back to the hooter.
I’m not really a fan of the ps whistle
I would like to hear a Western Maryland whistle on her!
The "Hooter" will be back on her soon if it isn't already. They've been busy and changing the whistle back wasn't a high priority.
Finally she's back in action
Lol
Great song for today high gas prices lol
